Internet Journalism Training at SJMC, UDSM

My name is Kahenga Dachi. I work for the Open University of Tanzania (HQ) which is located is located at Kinondoni, along Kawawa road. In this week I am at The School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC), University of Dar-es-Salaam (UDSM) attending an intensive training on Internet Journalism. The training is scheduled to take place from 24^th September to 26^th September, 2014.

I expect that at the end of the training, my ability to teach students on issues related to Internet Journalism with particular regard to plagiarism, fact finding and conducting journalistic research will be enhanced. I will also incorporate the new skills into courses that I teach; these courses are Public Relations, advertising and other mass communication courses.

Nevertheless, it is my expectation that the training will equip me with skills on how to create and manage the blogs.

Also, it is my expectation that the training will sharpen my skills on writing and publishing various journalistic materials on the websites.

I expect that my colleagues will accord me their usual cooperation during the whole period of the training. Stay connected..
